Wild expression and beautiful stories - with impact.
OUR IMPACT
Wool Hat Creative, or WHC, is an impact-driven media and production company dedicated to meaningful stories, with a focus on advocacy and adventure, that help make the world a better place.
A big part of what we do is helping like-minded organizations, companies, candidates, campaigns, and individuals tell their stories and further their missions through film, photography, live streaming, and more. We also produce long-form, story-driven content through documentaries, narrative films, and comedy that deliver powerful messages through a good thrill, laugh, or cry, or just simply entertain. Our films have screened hundreds of times on 3 continents from North America to Antarctica and have helped raise over $4 million in critical funding and awareness for important causes.
Aside from making beautiful films and telling impactful stories, we have helped our clients learn how to navigate the outdoor industry and film/TV world, harness the power of non-profit advocacy, write screenplays/pitch decks, capture memories and products through photography, and so much more.
We are based in Denver, Colorado, but can nimbly work all over the world.
Our Statement on Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion
WHC strives to use any and all privilege and standing we have to fight for diversity, equity, and inclusion and on the behalf of marginalized and underserved people. Whenever possible, our projects WILL include, celebrate, and advocate for (in front of or behind the camera), in no particular order: people of color, tribal and native people and land, women, LGBTQ people, immigrants, refugees, and more. We encourage our clients to do the same in their work and stories we tell together.

As a storyteller, Phil thrives at the confluence of impactful and engaging stories and a strong love of nature and the outdoors. As an advocate, Phil has over a decade of frontline experience with environmental non-profits and campaigns. Through these two lenses, for Phil and for Wool Hat Creative, stories arise as a tapestry, myriad threads of life, telling a tale larger than any one part. Phil believes that weaving together of these threads, of adventure, advocacy, and justice – to name a few – fuels our curiosity, shines a spotlight on injustice, and helps makes the world a better place. He hopes you’ll join us!

Jenna Misra - production consultant
Jenna believes that making a difference in the world begins with getting a message out there, and the way to everyone's heart is through a deeply personal narrative. Through her eyes, the planets most pressing issues include the climate crisis, racial injustices, gender/sexuality discrimination, human rights violations and cooperative community development.
She is music obsessed, travel-hungry, an avid reader, a rock climber, a self taught home cook & an abstract painter.
